A Wingless Bird!!

Reaching out to the evading now I sigh,

A wingless bird trying to fly;

Tears fill my eyes as I fail,

But! Alas! I am so frail,

Reaching out again and again,

My mind goes numb from pain;

All my efforts are in vain;

Is it wrong to seek the right?

Chase the darkness and spread the light?

Why is the world so unfair?

The weak and poor never find their share?

But, who am I to question the might?

After all! I just failed my first flight !

காற்றாலே தோற்றமிங்கு!

அடிக்கின்ற காற்று
அடைபட்ட காற்றை
ஆடவைத்துப் பார்த்திருக்கும்!

காற்றடைந்த காரணத்தால்
காணுதிங்கே பல்லுருவம்!


அடைபட்ட காற்று
விடைபெற்றுப் போய்விட்டால்
உருவத்தால் பயனுண்டோ?
உண்மையிது உலகத்தில்!

வாக்கு!

ஊர்கூடித் தேரிழுத்தல்
ஊருக்கு அழகு!
தேர்தல் எனும் தேர்வு
தேசத்திற்கழகு!


வாக்களித்து
வளைய வந்தவர்களில்
வாகை பெறுபவரை
வாக்களிக்கும் உரிமையுள்ளோர்
வாக்களிப்பால் தெரிவுசெய்வர்!

வாக்களித்த அடையாளம்
வளர்ச்சிக்கு அடையாளம்!

வாக்களிப்பில் களிப்புண்டு!
வளரும் நம் நாட்டின்
வாளிப்பும் அதிலுண்டு!

சித்திரைத் திருநாள் வாழ்த்து!

அனைவருக்கும் என் இனிய தமிழ்ப்புத்தாண்டு நல்வாழ்த்துகள்!

சித்திரை மாதம்தான்
எத்தனை உயர்ந்த்து பார்!
மணம்வீசும் மலர்கள்பல
மலர்ந்திடுமே இந்நாளில்!

வேப்பம்பூ வாசம்
வீதிஎங்கும் தான் வீசும்!
வண்ணப் பூமரங்கள்
வழியெங்கும் பூச்சொறியும்!

அடுத்து வரும்மழையை
அடைத்திட வழிசெய்ய
நீர்நிலைகள் சீர்பெறவே
நின்றமழை தானுதவும்!

முக்கனிகள் விளைந்திடும்!
முழுநிலவு சுகம்கூட்டும்!
நிழலின் அருமைதனை
எழும்வெயில் உணர்த்திடும்!

நித்திரையில் உழலாமல்
நித்தம் உழைத்திருக்க
வெற்றி எனும் கனியை
விரைந்தளிக்கும் இவ்வாண்டு!

காற்றாடி!

வங்கக் கடற்கரையில்
வண்ண வண்ணக் காற்றாடி!

காவடி வடிவினிலே
காளையவன் சுமக்கின்றான்!

காற்றடிக்கும் மாலையிலே
காற்றாடி விற்கவந்தான்!

எத்தனையோ சிறுவர்களின்
எண்ணத்தைக் கவருதிங்கே!

அதிர்ஷ்டக் காற்றடித்தால்
அத்தனையும் விற்றுவிடும்!

விற்குமிடம், நேரமும்தான்
வெற்றிபெற அவசியமே!

DESERTED- POEM BY PAVISESH

DESERTED!

 

         

Deserted and desperate, now I cry,

Gazing at the full-white on the East sky;

Waning and waxing by the days

Stealing the glow from the sun’s rays;

Covered by dark clouds, unable to peek,

Like the future that I am unable to seek;

I try to coax out melancholies,

From the fiddle that once yielded melodies;

The birds return to their cosy houses;

To feed their young one’s hungry noses;

But my heart cracks right through the middle,

Without a company for my fiddle;

Longing for his return I sing a sad song,

On this full moon night, bright and so long….
