DREADFUL FATE!
Upon this drenched and dried land,
Worn and tired, here I stand!
Memories echo in me,
On my childhood of glee!
When I used to be so careless and free
When I used to wonder upon what I would be!
And now I stand here,
With my return, so near!
I place my burdens behind me,
And shrink my eyes to clearly see!
A stick in my hand to guide,
I can barely hear him stride!
And each minute by which he nears,
My heart thumps with little fears!
But I can no more wait
For this is meant to be my fate!
"Are you ready?” asks the Death God,
Alas! I have no option but to nod!
